Why: The recall started because of the worrying concerns that the garage racks might fall down from the ceiling they're attached to presenting a potential injury hazard

The Eagle Industrial Group sent out a recall for more than twelve thousand of its overhead storage racks due to concerns they might potentially collapse from the ceilings they are attached to.

The recall sent out is for the Eagle Industrial Group's Monsterrax and SafeRacks overhead storage racks which can be height adjusted and fixed to the ceiling on April 21 the United States consumer products safety commission posted the recall notice.

According to the Eagle Industrial Group, they start the recall after they found out about the potential faulty hex bolts that were used to fix the garage overhead storage racks to the ceiling.

Monsterrax and SafeRacks have received over 50 reports of the garage overhead storage racks falling down from the ceiling with one incident leading to a customer getting injured on his face according to the posted recall notice.

The recalled overhead storage racks are available in either hammer tone (gray) or white colors and in several different sizes including 2 ft by 8ft, 2ft by 6 ft, 3 ft by 8 ft, 6 ft by 3 ft, 4 ft by 8ft, 4 ft by 4 ft, 3 ft by 6ft, 2 ft by 6 ft and 3 ft by 6 ft. Eagle Industrial Group advises its customers to remove their items from the overhead storage racks

The Eagle Industrial Group advises its customers who own the overhead storage racks that have been recalled to immediately remove any of their items and get in touch with Monsterrax and SafeRacks to get replacement bolts without any charge.

Monsterrax and SafeRacks have already contacted all known buyers of the overhead storage racks to offer them replacement hex bolts for free according to the posted recall notice.

The Eagle Industrial Group states the recalled overhead storage racks were mostly sold online on websites such as amazon.com, costco.com, monsterrax.com and SafeRacks.com for around 140 dollars from September to December 2021.
